Whether we are talking, eating, listening, whatever we are doing, the reason we are here in this world is to study ourselves. We study ourselves to find out how vast and uncomplicated our minds really are. We can only find this unbiased truth by our own direct experiences.
All the diversity in our lives is merely a manifestation of our minds. If we want simplicity and tranquility, we need only go to the center of our active mind, where it is empty and still. Diversity comes from our active minds, and our origins come from the central void.
All things are brought forth from the subtle realm into the manifest world by the mystical intercourse of yin and yang. The source of the universe is ultimately unknowable, a great invisible river flowing forever through a vast and fertile valley. Silent and uncreated, it creates all things.
It may be impossible to counteract the conditions of the time. It is not cowardice but wisdom to remain quiet, avoid action and wait for an appropriate time. A law of nature is at work, evil is not destructive to the good alone, but inevitably destroys itself as well.
Quote: Being open and tranquil allows you to deal adaptively and effectively with change.
