Whenever you feel uncomfortable and don’t know what to do, find some place to look at the openness of the sky and experience the freshness, free of hope and fear, just completely open. This open space permeates everything and is available to us every moment of our lives.
Self-cultivation is a daily activity. No matter how much progress we achieve in one day, we must continue the next. Progress is often so subtle that we may feel the effort is futile, but we must keep doing it every day with the same enthusiasm.
Studying the teachings of the ancients will help you to dissolve all concepts of duality and teach you to be of service to others without expectation of reward. Gently eliminate all obstacles to your own understanding of these subtle truths by being humble and maintaining unconditional sincerity.
After finishing your own tasks, use your strength in the service of others. Help where help is needed but weigh carefully how much you can help without doing harm. Only when this feeling exists can you give yourself unconditionally, without hesitation.
