What we regard as obstacles are not really our enemies but could be considered our teachers and friends. What we call obstacles is the way our experiences teach us where we are stuck. How we experience obstacles depends mostly on our relationship with ourselves.
When faced with a sad situations or events, it is best not to languish in them. We can change things by some action, by being with different people, moving to other places or, if all else fails, adjusting our own attitudes to take the initiative. Sadness is transitory like everything else.
Do you have the patience to wait till your mud settles and the water is clear? Can you remain unmoving till the right action arises by itself? Do not seek fulfillment. Not seeking, not expecting, be present and you will be able to welcome all things.
The purpose of the ancient teachings is to offer guidance in one’s daily life and to avoid misconduct. They show us how to explore natural and social phenomena. It shows you how to use your abilities and offer them to all without selfish motives.
Quote: We have all the power to create the changes we choose.
