Touch your heart or let your heart be touched, you will discover how much warmth and gentleness is there, how much space. This feeling turns into a longing to be fully human. It turns into a longing to be there for friends in trouble and to be of real help for our planet.
When disaster strikes, we can do nothing other than accept it. It alters the course of our actions and thinking. We must keep to our deeper convictions and remember our goals and not get caught up in the chaos. Whether we remain the ash or become the Phoenix is up to us.
To interfere with nature is to try to seek control, this causes distress and produces exhaustion. Let things come and go effortlessly without desire. If you never expect results, you never will be disappointed. If you are never disappointed, your spirit never grows old.
Any development, to be successful, must proceed gradually and be allowed to take its course. Being hasty would not be wise. Penetrating gentleness is the outer form that should proceed from inner calm and, along with perseverance, prevents slow progress from dwindling into nothing.
