Life is glorious but also wretched. Gloriousness, we feel inspired and connected, we want it to be like this forever. Wretchedness, life’s painful aspect, humbles and softens us up. Gloriousness and wretchedness need each other; one inspires us, the other softness us.
We should, through introspection, search out what we are lacking and then work on fulfilling it. Once we identify and complete some part of ourselves, we should move on to the next thing we lack until finally we feel complete and can then serve our aspirations in life.
Realize and admit when you make a mistake, then set about correcting it. Consider a person who points out your faults as your most benevolent teacher. Think of your enemy as the shadow you cast. Do not meddle in the affairs of others and you will be a light to all.
Having the courage to face things exactly as they are without illusions, you will be able to recognize the path to success. This recognition should be followed by resolute and preserving action, this way you will be able to surmount any obstacles in your path.
Quote: Cultivating a skill without using it, is like learning a foreign language without leaving home.
