Patience is not learned when everything is going well, but rather when things do not go our way. Patience is learned when our expectations collide with the reality of the situation. Patience implies willingness to be alive, rather than trying to seek harmony.
Let us not hold ourselves above our fellow human beings, no matter how great the disparity. To withhold your scorn is already beautiful, but to see how we are all one family is compassion. Is their misfortune their own fault? Is it fair to blame them?
In ancient times people lived holistic lives. If an invention appeared, they looked for the problems it might cause, as well as the shortcuts it offered. They valued old ways that had been proven effective as well as new ways, if they could be proven effective.
When leading people be open to all, “see” them as they really are without judgement, regarding who they are individually, with their talents and limitations. When leading, also be aware of what is generally needed at that moment and how that can be done.
