Be kind to yourself, be kind to the quality of your being. When we feel bad some way about ourselves, loving kindness towards ourselves is the way to treat this feeling. This becomes the basis for extending the same unconditional friendliness towards others.
When we first start our self-cultivation practice, we only get glimpses of the balance it gives you, but in time this understanding becomes deeper. Continued ongoing practice will balance your body, mind and soul and will eliminate physical and mental constraints.
Reflect whatever appears without judgement, whether it be a flower or a heap of garbage, a criminal or saint. Whatever happens is all right. Treat your own anger or grief just as you would treat an angry or grieving child with compassion.
An exhausting situation can be caused by not having enough or being overwhelmed by having too much. If you are stuck in an exhausting situation, discover the cause, and seek a solution. Merely complaining and being resentful will only make the situation worse.
