Loving kindness towards ourselves doesn’t mean getting rid of anything. Accept yourself as you are. We can still be crazy, angry, jealous and have feelings of unworthiness. That’s what we study, that’s what we come to know with tremendous curiosity and interest.
All experiences that we have, everything we do and think are registered upon us physically and mentally, but it is up to us the picture that emerges. It is we who select what we will become by the actions we perform and thoughts we have.
The highest good comes from those who nourish their community with a benevolent heart, this is a natural thing to do. Be simple and generous, don’t try to control, don’t compete, be content with just being who you are. This way everybody will respect you.
Set fixed limits on your expenditures, also set limits on your actions, the limits of loyalty and disinterestedness. If we live economically in normal times we are prepared for times of need. If you go too far in setting limits on others they rebel, too far on yourself is injurious. Therefore, set limits on limitations.
Quote: We have to do the best we can. This is our sacred human responsibility. Einstein
