When we train, even though we have noble intentions, we are not given any promises that all will be okay. Instead, simply look deeply at joy and sorrow, hoping and fearing, laughter and crying, at all that lives and dies. We learn that which truly heals is gratitude and tenderness.
There are limits to everything, the cold, the darkness, even misfortune, like today the winter solstice the lowest turn of the wheel. Everyday can be the beginning of brightening in your life, like today the beginning of light from the maximum of darkness.
We live a bewildered life, we struggle to know things and whether there is a purpose to this existence. Just look behind all this and see the joy and simplicity in all things. Remain centered and act from your heart, then all things will be in harmony and you will be at peace.
When you discover you are distancing and alienating yourself from others, you need to set about eliminating that which blocks your way. Rouse yourself inwardly, with moderation and goodwill, hasten to that which supports you, then all occasion for remorse will disappear.
Quote: Change, like healing, takes time.
