The way to dissolve our resistance to life is to meet it face to face. When we resent the cold, feel its iciness and bite; when we resist the rain, feel its wetness. Cold and rain, many things we resist will go on forever so, look closely and open your mind. Then all things can be appreciated.
It is only the depth of our character that determines the profundity with which we face life. We can add to our character each day, or we can fritter away our energies on distractions. This increased character will give us a strength to accomplish anything we want.
Give up all concepts, judgements, and desires and your mind will grow naturally compassionate. The more we let go of what we love, the more present our love becomes. The clearer our insight into what is beyond good and evil the more we can embody the good.
During an extremely difficult situation, hide your brilliance, bide your time and be patient. Realize the difficulty and hardship remain steadfast and upright. Refuse to take actions you know and feel are unrighteous. By doing this you can overcome the greatest difficulties.
Quote: The art of acceptance is the art of making someone who has done you a small favor wish that he might have done you a greater one.
