Each day reflect on the day ahead keeping a wide-open heart and mind. Before retiring reflect on what you have done. If you did something you aspired to do even once, rejoice in that. If you went against your aspiration, rejoice that you can see what you did.
All parts of our personality, no matter how perfectly formed, only enclose what is inside of us. All our self-practice binds us into a cohesive whole, but it only points to the emptiness in the center that gives us the space and openness for life experiences to enter.
The ancient teachings are easy to understand and easy to practice. Your intellect will never grasp them and if you try to practice them, you will fail. The teachings are older than the world, how can you grasp their meaning? If you want to know them look inside your heart.
Times of adversity can lead to success by remaining calm, even if your words have no effect. It is important to be strong within, sparing of words, and true to yourself. Any situation can be overcome, but you must be patient and keep good for all in your heart.
