Acknowledge your thoughts, let them go and come back to the freshness of the present moment. By doing this you are sowing seeds of wakefulness in your subconscious. You are conditioning yourself towards opening up and, after a while, you become more wakeful and aware of life.
Once we feel we have sufficient knowledge and power we must be careful to not let it get the better of us and lose our sense of inquiry into what is right. Use your common sense and be humble, do not brag about your power or use it unwisely; doing so can cause you suffering.
To accept all things means to hold no anger or resistance towards anything, rid yourself of any concept of separation. Foregoing antagonism and separation you enter into the harmonious oneness with all things. Acceptance is the very essence of life.
The words and deeds of the past can be used to strengthen and elevate your character. When you study the past do not confine yourself to knowledge of history but apply that knowledge now to give actuality to the past; begin with these ancient teachings.
