Having resistance to things that we can do nothing about is futile. Not looking at things with expectations that things will get better or there is a cure for something is a gift we can give ourselves. Accept what is and look for the positive aspects of your situation.
Life does not need to be confusion and disorganization. When you feel that way you may be forgetting to look carefully or not really looking at all. Look at the external form of events or forms, consider how you feel about them, even taking time to contemplate their source.
We cannot attain clarity and simplicity by avoiding the world. Do your work, take care of others, practice virtue without expecting any reward, and when you understand the higher truths retain an ordinary manner, this is true clarity, true simplicity, true living.
Like the cycle of the seasons, there is also a cycle of good and bad times. When unfavorable times come, look for the opportunities they bring you while waiting for the change back to favourable times. Do not become attached to the times because change, like the seasons, is inevitable.
