Everyday there is more aggression throughout the world and that pain escalates indefinitely. Ask yourself, “Am I going to add to the aggression in the world?” When things get edgy take time to ask yourself, “Am I going to be the aggressor or am I going to practice acceptance and peace?”
Self-cultivation in private is good but at times we should go out to help others, if not people may lose faith in their practice. We must take time out of our own self-cultivation practice to inspire others to do their own self-cultivation and to help others with their practice.
Thinking and talking about a self-cultivation practice are not the same as practicing it. Whoever became a good athlete by talking about sports? Start by relaxing your mind and quieting your senses, this allows you to concentrate on your practice no matter what it is.
No matter how difficult a situation is there is always a solution. Your attitude is the most important part of that solution. Do not act with undo haste, continue in your old ways or be content with partial success. Have a plan before beginning and reflect on finishing.
