We are different from each other; our ideas of social etiquette are different from culture to culture. Rather than criticize each other’s ways or fight over our differences, be curious and strive to understand the other. Doing this, we can achieve peace and harmony in the world.
The earth is overrun by humans building bridges, monuments and places for tourists to flock to. We don’t need monuments to cover the natural landscape, or places to go visit and spoil. Instead, we should simply walk through this mysterious world without being a burden to it.
Our enemies are human beings just like ourselves, they have the same needs and desires as we do. As a last resort, enter into conflict but do so with the utmost compassion; do not rejoice in victory. Peace is our highest value, if our peace is shattered how can we be content?
Being still when it’s time to be still and going forward when it is time to go forward; that way rest and movement agree and will help you quiet the heart. When you become calm, then you can turn to the outside world, as you no longer see the struggle and tumult of individuals.
Quote: Peace is our natural state of being.
