Every cell in our body is continuously changing, we are as impermanent as everything else. Thoughts and emotions of being competent or that we’re hopeless rise and fall unceasingly, we are only basing these thoughts on the past and the fixed idea of who we are.
Who needs to engineer a new monetary policy? Who needs to strive for political office? None of these things are necessary to be a human being. Give up all unnecessary things and live a simple live, because simplicity is what we should celebrate.
If the senses are cluttered with objects, they lose their acuteness and eventually decay. Desires wither the heart, let go of them and your heart will naturally overflow with love. Reflect whatever happens without judgement and treat yourself with compassion and kindness.
With your family, the performance of moral duty is easier because of natural affection. This same moral duty you practice with your family and that your family practices will also be reflected with all of your relationships outside of your family in society.
