Life is a good teacher and a good friend; things are always changing. That off-center state we feel with change is the ideal situation where we can open our hearts and minds beyond limit. That state is a very tender, nonaggressive, open-ended state of affairs.
Not everybody wants to practice self-cultivation with a consistent daily practice. It is all right to be distracted once in a while, but you need to be cautious and come back without missing too much. Creating a strong perspective this way is the root of wisdom and harmony.
Our path in life is to live in harmony with all others, the environment and oneself; to live in synchronicity with all things and to be completely authentic, sincere and natural. These ancient teachings provide us with a guide to living, thinking, feeling and behaving.
In times of abundance, treasure and use the plenitude well, and sustain the times of abundance as long as possible. In times of decline explore new possibilities, rather than staying with your old ways. The key is not to dwell on old ways and trivial things.
