We cling to our identities of jealousy, anger and addictions. They are like clouds blocking the sun, all the time our warmth and brilliance is right there. We don’t need to change, just be who we are, just look at yourself differently from your usual way. We already have everything we need.
If you want liberation and freedom, transcend all identity. Therefore, wealth or poverty, good or bad, all duality makes no difference. True freedom comes from understanding the oneness and connectedness of all things. Such a realization leads to a perception that all things are truly equal.
It is possible to be a gentle contemplative person right here in the middle of everything, utterly unaffected, thoroughly sustained and rewarded by your integral practices. Encouraging others, giving freely to all, awakening and purifying the world with all you do.
When you undertake an enterprise in extraordinary times, you need to be cautious. Enterprises will not succeed unless the utmost caution is taken at the beginning and laying of the foundation. Once you have a firm foundation the rest of the enterprise will fall into place.
