We cause harm to ourselves by not having the courage and respect to look at ourselves honestly and gently. We cause harm to others by our actions, speech, and thoughts. Not causing harm is the basis of an enlightened society and the beginning of a sane world.
There is nothing in the sky, nobody lives your life but you. Whatever you believe in terms of deities is fine. It is all individual preferences and ultimately means self-awareness. There is something beyond the diversity of deities and that is the absolute, formless, nameless, and faceless.
Knowing others is intelligence, knowing yourself is true wisdom. When you master yourself, you do not have to master others. When you know you have enough then you are truly wealthy. Find your roots and nourish them and you will know longevity.
