The more we get to know our judgementalness, pettiness and arrogance we realize they are not sins but workable habits of the mind. The more we get to know them, the more they lose their power and we come to trust our basic simple nature free of all dualities.
Life requires leisure, the chance to sit and contemplate, and an opportunity to respond to inner urgings. Find a place that is slow paced, where people are sensitive to nature. The time you spend there will give you a glimpse of life where there is restfulness and a natural sense of what is right.
When people see things as beautiful, other things become ugly. When people see some things as good other things become bad. Being and nonbeing create each other. When things arise, let them come; when things disappear, let them go. When your work is done, forget it.
It is easy to trust the universe when everything is going well, but when life gets difficult, we need to look carefully at the difficulty; usually you can find the solution or cause in the difficulty itself. When the difficult times pass, we say “that wasn’t as bad as I anticipated”.
