Suppression is not about being patient, being patient is having a gentle honest relationship with yourself.
If your mind is focused on poor health, greed, amongst other things, it will be like you are in a closed room with no vision. If your mind is open and not clouded with desires and worries, and if you are in the right position, you will be able to perceive things in advance before they happen.
If you blame someone else for your failures, there is no end to the blaming. The wise see failure as an opportunity to learn and accept all responsibility for their mistakes. Fulfill your own obligations, correct all your mistakes, do what you need to do without demanding from others.
Watching the workings of nature and the meaning of the laws and underlying workings of the universe will enable you to give expression to those laws in one’s own person. By watching the actions of others, this will allow you to put yourself in another’s place and understand their motives.
