The main part of these teachings is to help us dissolve the dualistic struggle against what is happening to us. Rather than struggle, or back away from what is happening, move toward the difficulty. We can use everything that happens to us as the means for waking up.
If we see our path clearly there is no distinction between our outer world and inner one. To attain this clarity. our hearts and our spirits, must be totally concentrated on what we want. No matter what tries to keep us from our purpose we will not be deterred.
Embrace all things, accept everything, extend your goodwill in every direction or you can deny everything, recognizing that everything you see is an illusion. Both paths lead to the spontaneous awareness of the harmonious oneness, then all you must do is participate in it.
With your family the performance of moral duty is easier because of natural affection. This same moral duty you practice with your family and that your family practices will also be reflected with all of your relationships outside of your family in society.
