Each day, reflect on the day ahead keeping a wide-open heart and mind. Before retiring, reflect on what you have done. If you did something you aspired to do even once, rejoice in that. If you went against your aspiration, rejoice that you can see what you did.
Peace and harmony are always available to you; it is not out there, something external to you, in books or somebody instructing you. Everything you want you already have, just open your heart and your mind and it will be right there. Look inside and feel it.
Neither become obsessed with circumstances nor forgo awareness of them. Let go of all, conflict and strife, practice unswerving kindness and unending patience. Give whatever you can without restraint, you then become one with the receiver and both become the giver.
We should not try to combat our own faults directly; the longer and harder we fight them, the more victorious they will be. Fight your faults by making progress in the good is the only way. Take care not to become hardened and obstinate, remain receptive to impressions by continuous self-examination.
