Patience is the antidote to anger, by patience we don’t mean “grin and bear it”. Instead of reacting suddenly, smell it, look at it and open yourself to seeing what’s there. The journey of patience involves relaxing, opening to what is happening with a sense of wonder.
If you could have access to being in the zone (the moment) like athletes talk about, where everything seems to go just right, then you could live life fully all the time. If you try to force this feeling, it will not happen, you just have to let go and live life fully.
The highest good comes from those who nourish their community with a benevolent heart, this is a natural thing to do. Be simple and generous, don’t try to control, don’t compete, be content with just being who you are. This way everybody will respect you.
To achieve results that are enduring and complete, be gentle with a steady influence that never lapses. To produce such results, you must have a clearly defined goal. Your results may be less striking than things done suddenly, but they will be more lasting.
