We are different from each other; our ideas of social etiquette are different from culture to culture. Rather than criticize each other’s ways or fight over our differences, be curious and strive to understand the other. Doing this we can achieve peace and harmony in the world.
All living things grow and change. To help you grow and change, self-cultivation should be part of your life but should have a proper duration, it should not dominate all else. In time, self-cultivation can become a natural expression of yourself and a part of your life.
Stop trying to control, let go of fixed plans and concepts. If we make no one a foe and the less coercing we do, the more our tranquilities grow. When harmony reigns and we rule ourselves with felicity, then everyone gains and we can all live in simplicity.
Don’t let yourself get swept away by unfavorable circumstances or let your steadfastness be shaken. You can avoid this by maintaining your inner peace, remaining outwardly calm and yielding. By doing this you can overcome the greatest of difficulties.
