Sharing your heart is a simple practice that can be used any time. When you encounter pain in your life, breathe into your heart and recognize that others also feel this. Whether it is a pleasant feeling or a burden, think of others. This training will benefit us tremendously and everyone else as well.
Meditation is not a supplementary activity. It is not mere relaxation and stress reduction. When you meditate, select a place where you won’t be disturbed, with nature close by. This way you can slip into serenity and this will help bring your humanity into focus.
If you want to become a better person, study that which serves the nature of life and then offer it to the world. If you study with devotion, and do so wholeheartedly, all things in the universe will be in harmony and everything in your life will reflect this practice.
Growth does not need to mean that things get larger. When we learn to unlearn what no longer serves us, things may even get smaller and better. Do more with less and yet hold more of the world in your grasp. Our job is to give gains value, and not merely learn they are there.
