As we train in opening our hearts, discovering the soft spot, we feel more joy, the joy that comes from appreciation of our basic goodness. We do this by being present, training in mindfulness and unconditional friendliness, having patience and letting the process evolve naturally.
When we are confronted with difficulty: respond with modesty, accept it for what it is and concentrate on it until you find a solution. Do not apply undue force, but don’t acquiesce meekly to fate. Being too modest can be defeating. Modesty, like anything, must be applied in the right manner.
Correct your mind and the rest of your life will fall into place because the mind is the governing aspect of human life. To correct your mind, stop worrying and clinging to things, avoid daydreaming and allow your original insight to emerge. This will help clear your mind.
In good times people tend to indulge in worldly pleasures and live day to day. It is easy to delight in your own pleasures and forget the delight of others. If you have accomplished a special achievement and you remain humble, others will join you in your delight and joy.
