Entrenched in the tunnel vision of our personal concerns, what we ignore is our kinship with others. We need to understand that when we do harm to another, we do harm to ourselves. If we train in opening our hearts and minds, we will find that others are no different than ourselves.
The world, it seems, never tires of conflict. We should remember the innocence of life and honor the innocence in one another. We spend too much time thinking about strategy, defense, gain and advantage. Instead, move as close as you can to a simple existence.
There is nothing more futile and frustrating than relying on the mind. We need to quiet our thinking, stop analyzing, and making distinctions between one thing and another. Simply see that you are one with the universe and accept all things as being part of you.
In difficult times, a task can be accomplished by caution and deliberation. If we wish to achieve something, we first need to investigate the forces and bring these forces to bear in the proper place and the proper time. First, we must be at the correct standpoint ourselves only then can we work correctly.
