Spiritual devotions can only be a personal thing, what you do with your daily devotions is purely for your own sake. If you put your ideals on a grand scale trying to solve some fundamental social problem, they will become compromised by the contradictions of life.
Study the teachings of the ancients, dissolve all concepts of duality. Be of service to others without expectation of reward and gently eliminate all obstacles to your own understanding of the subtle truth by being humble and maintaining unconditional sincerity.
In order to grow we need support from others, they are a source of strength to help us achieve our goals. To gain their support you need an attitude of truthfulness and sincerity. Your fame and position will grow not by accident because it is based on the law of cause and effect.
