If we approach life as an experiment, then we are willing to try things this way and that way, either way we have nothing to lose. The trick is not to get caught up in hope and fear. Remember, if it is time for something to flourish it will, if not it won’t; keep experimenting.
In search of our true selves, our physical existence is the best place to start. We can alter our lives by how we eat and exercise. There should be neither denial nor mortification of the body. We need to maintain our body through diet and exercise and keep it free of blockages and pain, looking beyond it to find our true selves.
Give up all ideas of individuality and extend your goodwill without prejudice in every direction. If you have desires and expectations, these attachments prevent your growth. There is no such thing as “other” and having no attachments your very existence benefits all things.
Joy rests on firmness and strength within, manifesting itself outwardly as yielding and gentle. This joyful mood is infectious and promotes harmonious relationships with others. Truth and strength must dwell in the heart, gentleness reveals itself with social intercourse.
