Things come together and they fall apart. We think the point is to pass the test or overcome the problem, but the truth is things never really get solved. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen, room for grief, for relief, for misery and for joy.
If your mind is scattered, its images in disarray, you cannot move in a clear direction; the result is confusion and unhappiness. A mind that is clearly focused on a single point or idea, like in contemplation or meditation, is able to receive all things and abide in tranquility.
Practice the four cardinal virtues. First reverence for all life; love and respect all beings and things. Second, sincerity; this manifests as honesty and simplicity. Third, kindness; being gentle with yourself and others. The fourth, service to others with no expectation of reward.
If we can bring ourselves to set aside pride and follow the examples of good people, good fortune will result. If we associate with people sharing the same views and come together in full public knowledge, without selfish motives, then you are in harmony with the times.
