Do not shut anyone out of your heart and don’t make the other into an opponent. When we open our hearts, we can’t make things completely right or wrong anymore. Trying to find absolute rights and wrongs is a trick we play on ourselves to feel secure and comfortable.
All the diversity in our lives is merely a manifestation of our minds. If we want simplicity and tranquility, we need only go to the center of our active mind, where it is empty and still. Diversity comes from our active minds and our origins come from the central void.
We can know the world, but first we must know ourselves. We can do this without going anywhere. Live a quiet, simple life, free of ideas and concepts, find contentment in the practice of undiscriminating virtue, giving to others selflessly without expectation of reward.
It is important not to get complacent about success. Do not skip any stages in your progress, go slowly step by step as though hesitant. It is important to remain mindful, conscientious and consistent. Only such calm steady progress, overleaping nothing, leads you to your goals.
Quote: We should have only one desire and that is to help others.
