There is often a discrepancy between our ideals and what we encounter. It’s the rub between these two things, the squeeze between vision and reality that causes you to grow up, wake up, to be alive and compassionate. This rub is one of our most productive places on the spiritual path.
Within the changing of spring, we must take time to notice the constancy of inner devotion. No matter how much is going on outside of oneself, one still reaffirms what is in one’s heart. Only when we know such constancy will we know that we are succeeding.
Don’t be absorbed in your own needs, take the needs of all people as your own. Be good to those who are good, also be good to those absorbed in their own needs. Trust those who trust, also trust those who are not trustworthy. Merge with all others rather than stand apart judgementally.
The beginning of all things lies still in the form of ideas that have yet to become manifest. We have the creative power to lend form to these archetypes of ideas. Once you see causes and effects with clarity, you will have success in giving actuality to these ideas.
