Hope and fear is a feeling with two sides; as long as there is one there is always the other. Hope and fear come as a sense that we lack something, we are unable to sit, relax and be ourselves. Holding on to hope and fear robs us of the present moment.
It is our own egotism that leads us to define ourselves as individuals. Understanding the nature of compassion, we realize that our separation from others is artificial. Once we find compassion in our hearts, we will understand our essential oneness with all things.
When we emphasize just the body with the exclusion of mind or spirit we are not balanced and this leads to exhaustion. Self-cultivation involves the holistic integration of mind, body and spirit this way you achieve unity within and without.
Look at your long-term priorities, carefully and think about them. When you see opportunities, do not leap at them, but wait for the right time to take action. If you want and desire without consideration of the consequences this could lead to all kinds of entanglements.
