When something hurts in life, we want to get rid of it right away. Doing this, we naively cultivate a subtle aggressiveness against ourselves. Instead, we could aspire to be kind right in the moment, to relax and open our heart and mind to what is right in front of us.
Acceptance of things should not signify inertness, stagnation or inactivity. Ascertain what the situation requires, then implement what you think is best. As long as your action is in accord with the time and you leave no sloppy traces, your action is correct.
If you want love and respect from people, treat everybody with love and respect. If you compete with no one, no one will compete with you. If you are not guided by your ego and emotions and let yourself be guided by wisdom instead, you will be able to respond to your needs and those of others.
Human society should hold together through common interests that allow each person to feel part of the whole. What is required is that we unite with others; this is accomplished by sincerity in forming relationships with a common goal and working together towards that goal.
Quote: If the only prayer you say in your whole life is “Thank you,” that would suffice. Meister Eckhart
