Open yourself up to the continually changing, impermanent nature of your own being and that of reality. You will increase your capacity to care about others and not to be afraid. You will begin to think of your life as offering endless opportunities to start to do things differently.
There are many problems and concerns in the world and it is impossible to address everyone’s concerns. Taking care of yourself and doing something good for those whom you meet is enough. That is compassion and we must exercise it, even in the face of overwhelming odds.
If you blame someone else for your failures, there is no end to the blaming. The wise see failure as an opportunity and accept all responsibility for their failures. Fulfill your own obligations, correct all your mistakes, do what you need to do without demanding from others.
People will give up counselling you if you think you know everything, so be humble and keep your mind open and free so it can listen to and be receptive to good advice. If we cannot be influenced ourselves, we cannot influence or help others.
Quote: You master nature not by conquering it but by becoming it.
