Hope and fear is a feeling with two sides, as long as there is one there is always the other. Hope and fear come as a sense that we lack something, we are unable to sit, relax and be ourselves. Holding on to hope and fear robs us of the present moment.
Old traditions were less complicated because everyone knew their role in society. All you had to do was fulfill your role, knowing your other needs would be met by the collective. Today we pursue our own ends and must make choices and compete with everyone else for all our needs.
Caring for all things, you care for yourself. Giving to all, you give to yourself. At peace with all things, you are at peace with yourself. Looking at yourself or another you see the same thing. You do this by accepting responsibility for the energies you manifest, actively and subtlety.
Once we have accomplished something, it is tempting to relax, and forget about troubling over the details at the finish. These are times when everything appears to be balanced, complete and in harmony, this is the time to recognize the moments that bode change to an unbalanced state.
