Patience is the antidote to anger; by patience we don’t mean “grin and bear it”. Instead of reacting suddenly, smell it, look at it and open ourselves to seeing what’s there. The journey of patience involves relaxing, opening to what is happening with a sense of wonder.
When we take up self cultivation we have many expectations, but when your practice does not give you the results you expect, should you give up your practice? However, we do receive, without even being aware of it is a greater inner understanding of life and ourselves.
The character of your existence is determined by the energies you are connected to. Attaching to gross energies will lead you to a heavy, detached life. Connect yourself to higher energies, live in the world without attachments to physical things and you will feel free.
Like the cycle of the seasons, there is also a cycle of good and bad times. When unfavorable times come, look for the opportunities they bring you while waiting for the change back to favorable times. Do not become attached to the times as change, like the seasons, is inevitable.
