We don’t open our hearts and minds to others because it confuses us and we don’t feel brave or sane enough to open up. To help us open up, look clearly and compassionately at ourselves, feel confident and fearless about looking into someone else’s eyes.
All that is good and unique in you should be brought out. Never hold back thinking there will be a better time. The good in you is like a water well, the more you draw on it the more freshwater comes in; if you don’t draw on it becomes stagnant.
Cultivate inner strength and tranquility. If you succumb to frivolities and agitated emotions, you will lose your inner strength and tranquility. Participate directly in every moment and no mental concepts or attitudes will be able to dim your light or disturb your tranquility.
Fellowship among us should be based on concerns that are universal. Lasting fellowship should not be the private interests of individuals, but rather the goals of humanity. Fellowship in the open succeeds, if unity like this prevails even difficult and dangerous tasks can be accomplished.
