Meditation is not some special ideal, it’s just being there with the experience whatever it is. Being aware of pleasure and pain, our confusion and our wisdom, in every moment of our ordinary everyday lives, is meditation. This is the perfect meditation teacher.
When we have prowess we accumulate, not victories, but the experience of them. Savor them, nobody can take them away from you. Your prowess will pass, be thankful for the temporary gift. The experiences make it valuable, not the prowess or the victories.
Can you let go of dualities and embrace life without skepticism or panic? Then you will be able to reach the heart of oneness. The feeling of oneness is not something special, it is beyond that; it is simply the direct essential complete truth.
If you are sincere and composed, you will have the clarity of mind needed to come to terms with the innumerable impressions that pour in. At the beginning of things, it is important to have this clarity, the beginning holds the seeds of all that is to follow.
