Life is glorious, but also wretched. Gloriousness, we feel inspired and connected, we want it to be like this forever. Wretchedness, life’s painful aspect humbles and softens us up. Gloriousness and wretchedness need each other; one inspires us, the other softness us.
In the past the social structure was organized around the sun, moon, and stars and their interaction with each other. They used and consumed what was at hand, thus bringing them closer to the earth and nature. If we practice this way of living, the more integrated our life will be.
Life is not about withdrawing from society, not about escaping into a life of solitude and meditation. It’s about engaging fully in life, it is about transcending our humanity. Be models in your community and set examples of personal and social transformation.
The real nature of man is originally good, but it became clouded by contact with earthly things, and therefore needs refinement before it can shine forth in its native clarity. Practice refining your nature, this will widen your awareness and bring you clarity.
