The more we get to know our judgementalness, pettiness and arrogance, we realize they are not sins but workable habits of the mind. The more we get to know them, the more they lose their power and we come to trust our basic simple nature, free of all dualities.
Consciousness or soul is our deepest most subtle humanity. It is gentle, does not scheme, isn’t aggressive, it is just part of everyday life. Even if we do not consider ourselves a spiritual person, we have many experiences relating to the soul such as “that music stirs the soul”.
Neither become obsessed with circumstances nor forgo awareness of them. Let go of all conflict and strife, practice unswerving kindness and unending patience. To become a better person, develop your virtue and extend it to the world.
When times are bad, submit to them and remain quiet. It may be impossible to counteract the conditions of the time. It is not cowardice, but wisdom to submit and avoid actions. A law of nature is at work, evil is not destructive to the good alone, but inevitably destroys itself as well.
