Patience is the antidote to anger. By patience we don’t mean “grin and bear it”. Instead of reacting suddenly, smell it, look at it, and open ourselves to seeing what’s there. The journey of patience involves relaxing, opening to what is happening with a sense of wonder.
All the achievements of man are only monuments to overwhelming pride. There has not been a single man-made item that has made a necessary improvement to the earth. Give up the artificiality of our tiresome lives and cleave instead to what is natural.
If the senses are cluttered with objects, they lose their acuteness and eventually decay. Desires wither the heart, let go of them and your heart will naturally overflow with love. Reflect whatever happens without judgement, treat yourself with compassion and kindness.
To grow we need support from others, they are a source of strength to help us achieve our goals. To gain their support, you need an attitude of truthfulness and sincerity. Your fame and position will grow, not by accident, but because it is based on the law of cause and effect.
Quote: When you are pleasant with yourself, you are pleasant with all those around you.
