Some say our journey is up the mountain, but in reality, the mountain points down. Instead of trying to transcend suffering, we should explore the unpredictability of insecurity and pain. This will awaken us from fear and there we will discover the love and compassion for ourselves and all others.
View the transformations of the world calmly. Do not become alarmed with the different permutations of phenomena, they are merely outer transformations of indefinable, unlimited, and infinite reality. Do not become attached to what you know or how you wish to remain.
To cleanse spiritual contamination, offer your talent, resources, and life to the world. Give whatever you can without restraint and then the barriers of individuality breakdown. You then become one with the receiver and both become the giver.
Some cultures have held respect for elders or reverence for ancestors in highest regard and as a sacred duty. Yet few of us see the point in all this: if we, as heirs, understand the perspective of heirs, if we know this in our hearts, we will be less inclined to be bad ancestors ourselves.
