If we approach life as an experiment, then we are willing to try this way and that way. Either way, we have nothing to lose. The trick is not to get caught up in hope and fear. Remember, if it is time for something to flourish it will, if not it won’t.
The diversity and contradictions of existence confuse us, and appearances deceive us, therefore we cannot break out of ignorance. You are not ineligible to know the higher truths, but at the beginning you need a teacher to point you to the higher truths and the master within.
We cannot keep a past moment, the present moment cannot be held, the moment of the future cannot be caught. We are possessed by ideas of the past, preoccupied with images of the future, but we overlook the plain truth of the present moment.
Being humble is not about holding yourself back. Instead act positively by doing things with others cooperatively and harmoniously. The key is to respect and treat everybody equally. Only in this way can true peace and harmony be established.
