Patience is the antidote to anger; by patience we don’t mean “grin and bear it”. Instead of reacting suddenly, look at it and open yourself to seeing what’s there. The journey of patience involves relaxing, opening to what is happening with a sense of wonder.
We are the battleground for good and evil, there is no need to look beyond our world. All that must be transcended, understood, the pain and the scars of the past, are within us. Tap into this internal power and you tap into the divine.
Realize that all things change, then there is nothing you will try to hold on to. You cannot control the future; you might as well relax into it and accept it no matter what it brings. There is an ancient tale that says whatever happens you look at it without judgement and say, “some good some bad”.
The best way to fight evil is to make energetic progress towards the good. If we try to fight or compromise with evil, we lose, because we get entangled in hatred and passion. Our own faults and shortcomings should be handled the same way, if we wrestle with them, they will remain victorious.
