Our common understanding is that the best way to live is to try to avoid all pain and just be comfortable.  A more interesting and joyful approach is to develop our curiosity, not caring whether the object of our inquisitiveness is bitter or sweet.

Why go through all the rigmarole, just keep everything as simple as possible?  Reduce everything in complexity so that there are no contradictions, then you will achieve sublime simplicity.

Our ego is fascinated by the realms of the senses, going from one desire to the next, one conflict to the next and one self-centered idea to the next. Keep your mind from wandering, keep to the original oneness, deal with most vital matters by letting events take their course.  Step back from your mind and understand things by letting go.

Natural laws are based on the principle of movement along the lines of least resistance.  In nature all movement is in harmony with the times.  The same with society; only such laws that are in harmony with nature and the times can be enforced, otherwise they will arouse resentment.

Quote: The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.  Steve Jobs
