Impermanence can teach you a lot about how to cheer up. Sometimes let it scare you. Fear can make you start asking questions and if it doesn’t get you down, it will start you wondering. Maybe you are scared of the most exciting things you have to learn.
It is possible to live in the world and not be stained by it. Once you gain spiritual insight you dispense with the outer and inner world split. Your actions become no different than ordinary everyday actions, but they do not disturb anything.
The world we live in takes great courage and patience. When you give whatever you can without restraint, the barriers of individuality breakdown and you become one with the receiver; both become the giver.
When times are bad, submit to the times and remain quiet. It may be impossible to counteract the conditions of the time. It is not cowardice but wisdom to submit and avoid actions. A law of nature is at work, evil is not destructive to the good alone, but inevitably destroys itself as well.
